This year's Legislative Session kicked off with multiple events. The Georgia Chamber of Commerce kicked off the Legislative Session with their annual Eggs & Issues breakfast. Celebrating their 100 year anniversary, the Chamber hosted the top Georgia state leadership to present their vision for legislative session this year. Speakers included Senator Johnny Isakson, Governor Nathan Deal, Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, and Speaker of the House David Ralston.

Although the speeches didn't include any sustainability initiatives, the Chamber has included renewable energy as part of their agenda this year. Read the Chamber's priorities here. The main focus of the Georgia's Executive branch was transportation and education. With Georgia being named the best state to do business in, the port has become a primary focus.
